GHOST

A large monolithic object, covered in mirror, exhibits the design products by SMEG, making them float within the architectural parties, stuccoes and decorations of the Hôtel de Galliffet in Paris.

GHOST is the setup for the presentation of the SMEG line of high-tech kitchen products “Dolce Stil Novo” inside the monumental spaces of the Hôtel de Galliffet in Paris.
The exhibition aims at the dissolving of the support, to enhance the historical rooms of the building: the purpose is to make the products emerge inside the architectural parties, stuccoes and decorations of the rooms, among the columns, the mirrors and the trabeations. The result is a large monolithic object covered in mirror which “crosses” the central wall, contains all the appliances and places them in the centre of the space. The reflection obtained – like a ghost – erase the exhibition support, allowing the products to float in an oneiric space whose scenery is the 18th-century decorations of the historic Parisian residence.
